‘Dit is mijn hele leven,’ zei Charlotte Salomon toen ze dokter Moridis in Villefranche-sur-Mer in Zuid-Frankrijk de enorme koffer overhandigde om haar werk veilig te stellen. In die koffer zat haar levenswerk "Leven of Theater", het resultaat van maandenlang rusteloos werken, teruggetrokken in een kleine pensionkamer.
